About the event

Join Fiona Benson for an online workshop in which we explore and write the Poetry of Care. Drawing from poems by Sharon Olds, Niall Campbell, Marie Howe, Daniel Sluman, Lucille Clifton and Romalyn Ante; we will write poems about the small but significant gestures of care we make as human beings. We will explore the tenderness, the  humanity and sometimes the tough love of such poems, and hopefully create poems that are themselves gestures of care.

Fiona Benson's collections are Bright Travellers, Vertigo & Ghost, Ephemeron and Midden Witch (forthcoming, May 2025). She is an experienced poetry tutor and has taught for Arvon, the Poetry School, Outspoken and various universities and festivals. She lives in Devon with her husband and their two daughters.

Ticket policy: Tickets are non-refundable but transferable to another workshop.
